State Advocacy

.

SASA works to develop state and local advocacy in every state across the nation. About 8% of all education funding comes from the federal government meaning 92% comes from state and local sources. In order to create impactful change in education funding, advocacy at the state and local level is key to our success. State Advocacy Conferences offer another opportunity to develop effective student advocates and build upon the efforts started at the federal level and trickle down to state governments. Our state conferences utilize the same methods and techniques built at the National Advocacy Conference adding the necessary information specific to each state to make students experts in their state’s government and funding methods. If you want to expand education funding and STEM access, state and local advocacy efforts are pivotal to your and SASA success.
